Stephanie Dufresne is a dancer, actor and maker from the West of Ireland, currently based between Dublin and Kinvara, County Galway. Stephanie graduated in 2012 from the Rotterdam Dance Academy with a BA in Dance and since then she has worked nationally and internationally with companies and choreographers such as Protein Dance, Icon Dance, Chrysalis Dance, United Fall/Emma Martin, Junk Ensemble, Irish National Opera, Marguerite Donlon and Liz Roche. In 2017 Stephanie graduated from the Bow Street Academy in Smithfield where she completed a two year full time programme in Screen-Acting. Since then she has combined her skills as a dancer and actor in numerous music videos and short films as well as in the lead role of Selina Cartmell’s 2017 production of the Red Shoes for the Gate Theatre. Stephanie’s own choreographic work has been supported by various commissions, awards and residencies including the Arts Council, Dance Ireland and Galway City Council.
